Who We help

We focus on new, underpaid, and denied insurance claims throughout the entire State of Florida

Consider contacting me for help in the following circumstances:

  • You are not sure what is covered under your policy
  • The insurance company has already denied your valid claim
  • The insurance company’s settlement offer does not cover all your damages
  • Your claim is severely delayed

Unfortunately, insurance companies may be more interested in making a profit than in helping their policyholders. They may offer a payout that is not even close to covering your damages. Our home property damage lawyers can step in and level the playing field. We can review your insurance policy, identify your options, and leave no stone unturned in fighting for a fair settlement.

Your Home Was Damaged by Hurricane Ian, Now What?

Your property is damaged and you are not sure how you will recover, you are not alone to feel desperate so here are some steps you can take immediately to  help you recover adequate compensation from your insurance company. Stop the damage! Protect Your Home from Further Deterioration

Focus on limiting your losses immediately.  If you have water damage make sure to limit further deterioration. For example, if your home is flooded due to a burst pipe, turn off mains water to stop additional water damage. If your roof is damaged, cover up the area with a tarp to protect the inside of your property. If you do everything you can to protect your house, an insurer will not be able to argue that you risked further deterioration of your property by doing nothing.

Move FAST

When your property is damaged, you may be overwhelmed, maybe even homeless so you’ll be preoccupied with getting through your nightmare, but please find the time to contact your insurance company right away! In fact make it a priority. Getting what you deserve can take some time. Therefore, the sooner you start filing a claim, the sooner you can receive the funds needed to repair your home and get back to normal.

Get Out Your Camera!

An excellent way to reduce the chances of having your claim denied is by collecting as much evidence of the property damage as possible.  In this case the more the better. Document everything as detailed as possible and take plenty of photographs of damaged rooms and damaged items. Do not forget the outside of your house and the yard area and that includes ever affected area from the roof to your screens to any outside or inside water damage. Make a list of every area that was impacted and keep your document in a safe place and even better if you can save the document electronically via the cloud so no chance of misplacing the list.  An electronic list or excel will make it even easier to share with your attorney and insurance provider.

Don’t Go It Alone

Contact an experienced attorney who has the proven know-how to get you through this difficult process. The early the better, but its never too late especially if your insurer is already dragging its heels and low-balling or denying your claim. dianaThis is the part where you have the greatest opportunity to get what you deserve by allowing us to walk you through your options for fighting unfair claim denials, delays, and lowball offers. So your best shot at getting the settlement you want is to NOT go it alone!  I’m waiting to help you so call 914-357-1481 or fill out the contact form.
